Nadir at the Maelstrom

The world holds collective its breath. It has been nine months since the last Kill Switch sighting. No one has seen the Darkling harbinger since the Ruins of Las Vegas were wiped from the face of the earth. Only a large crater remains. Most think the TKV demon perished during the event. Just a few know the truth. Kill Switch is alive and well. He is biding his time and preparing for something big.

Time moves slowly for the Chimeron and the newly created Bio-Nan. They’ve dedicated their lives to fight against the cosmic threat. But do they have what it takes to confront the formidable Kill Switch? Inktomi, their enigmatic guide, has seen world enders, like this one, before. He divulges very little of what he knows. Despite his fears, he remains optimistic.

Quetzalcoatl, Inktomi’s demi-god companion, narrowly escaped the labyrinth of hell. But his sojourn was well worth the risk. For he recovered an ominous artifact. A shard of the smoking mirror. Perhaps this is the missing piece that will push them over the edge of victory.

But for now, everyone is on edge. A battle, unlike anything the world has ever seen, looms in the not-to-distant future.

The only question is who will come out on top?
